How to extend your windows 7 trial period to 360 days



I always wanted to activate my windows without using loaders or activators and finally here it is, one of the best way to extend your trial period to a maximum of 360 days Smile.
First of all:
Go to “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories” . Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“. If you are not the administrator then you are prompted to enter the password, or else you can proceed to step-2.



2. Now type the following command and hit enter

slmgr -rearm

wait for awhile.

next,
3. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted the trial period will be once again reset to 30 days. You can use the above command for up to 3 times by which you can extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.

4. Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days. Open Registry Editor (type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter) and navigate to the following location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

5. In right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1.

6. Now you will be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip activation process for another 240 days. So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.

120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit +
240 days using “slmgr -rearm” command after registry edit
= 360 Days

Protecting your pendrive without using anti virus



Many of our PC gets infected because of pendrives or USB devices,

You can protect your PC by just following the simple steps below.

*Connect your Pen Drive or USB drive to your computer.
*Now a dialogue window will popup asking you to choose among the options like
Open folder to view files, View the slideshow of images etc ,etc.

Don't choose any of them , Just simply click Cancel.

*Now go to Start--> Run and type "cmd" to open the Command Prompt window .

*Now go to My Computer and Check the Drive letter of your USB drive or Pen Drive . Drive letter will be letter next to Removal Disk name or your pen drive name.

*In the Command Window ( cmd ) , type the drive letter and Hit Enter

*Now type dir/w/o/a/p and Hit Enter

*You will get a list of files .
In the list , search if anyone of the following do exist,

1. Autorun.inf

2. New Folder.exe

3. Bha.vbs

4. Iexplore.vbs

5. Info.exe

6. New_Folder.exe

7. Ravmon.exe

8. RVHost.exe

9. Diskknight.exe or any other files with .exe Extension .

If you find any one of the files above , Run the command "attrib -h -r -s -a *.*" and Hit Enter.

Now Delete each File using the following Command del filename ( E.g "del autorun.inf" ) .

How To Stay Safe & Not Get Hacked

This might be a good method to get rid of your system from being hacked or your files from being stolen from your friends. May be your friend might be trying to accessing your Windows account to get access to your secret documents and information. You may not want to change password regularly if you have the habit of forgetting. Well, in this tutorial I am going to teach you how to log such failed attempts to your account.

By default Windows does not keep record of success and failure attempts. However you can check if it’s active or not by following steps:

Right click on My Computer Icon > Manage.

For Windows Vista or Later,

Go to System Tools> Even Viewer > Windows Logs > Security

For Windows XP,

Go to System tools > Event viewer > Security

You can see here about the Successful and Failed Login Attempts.






I’ve the above screen in my Windows 7. But windows may not be logging your login attempts. Therefore you’ll need to activate it from Group Policy editor.





To enable success and failed attempts do the following:

Load up RUN command, type gpedit.msc . It will load Group Policy Editor Window.

At the left policy explorer, go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > windows Settings> Security Settings> Local policies > Audit Logon Events .





At the right side of window, select ”Audit Policy Change “ and check on both ”Success” and ”Failure” Option.





Now press OK. You may now close the Group Policy Editor window.

Now Windows will be logging all your successful or failed login attempts.

To test if it works or not, create a test account, create password for it. Restart your PC. Try entering wrong password to your account few times. And again enter correct password. Window will load of.

Again right click on My Computer> Manage. Go to, System tools > Event viewer > Security

You’ll see the screen similar to this.





Double click on one of the failed attempts and it will show up the details.
